The Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo

We are grateful for this rare visit

How are we related? Together like photons dancing through space,
loving intelligence is shared through the field of life in which we are united.
That is how we are relatives in the dance of life. VDY

Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo is unique as a teacher, carrying three intact streams of ancient spiritual Wisdom. She is the 27th generation lineage holder of the Ywahoo lineage in the Tsalagi/ Cherokee tradition, as well as being a recognized teacher of the Vajrayana path in the Drikung Kagyu and Nyingma schools of Tibetan Buddhism. She is the Chief of the Green Mountain Band of the Ani Yun Wi Wa and Spiritual Director of Sunray Meditation Society, Sunray Peace Village and Vajra Dakini Nunnery.
She began publicly offering teachings in 1968 at South Hampton University in New York. In 1976, Venerable founded Sunray Meditation Society, a vehicle for these teachings. In 1978, she moved to Vermont, continued to give teachings and founded the Sunray Peace Village in 1986 as a land based sanctuary for teaching, meditation, healing, and keeping the ceremonial cycles.

Every year, She hosts an Elders Gathering the last weekend in July at the Peace Village where native elders and teachers from many traditions share their wisdom.

The teachings are neither bought nor sold. A $50 donation is requested to help cover expenses.
