\nThe Sunray Meditation Society stands with the Indigenous Peoples March \non 1.18.19 and the collective of activists, organizers, tribal leaders, \nsocial entrepreneurs, artists, educators, innovators and change makers \nwho are working to build the collective power of indigenous peoples, and\n communities and Nations. \n \n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nWe are honored to support the Indigenous Peoples March.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThe Sunray Meditation Society is an international spiritual organization\n dedicated to planetary peace. Our mission is to preserve and share the \nteachings of the Peacemaker from the Tsalagi (Cherokee) spiritual \ntraditions and the teachings of peacemaking from Tibetan Buddhism. The \nSunray Peace Village is a sanctuary and place for sacred teachings, \nceremony, contemplation and building the skills of peacemaking.\n \n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nSunray maintains good relationships with indigenous communities and \nelders around the world, and provides appropriate spiritual and \nfinancial support to them.\n \n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThe Annual Sunray Elders Gathering brings together the peoples of many \nNations to share in Sacred Ceremony and prayer, song and dance. Last \nyear\u2019s gathering heard teachings and stories relating the medicine of \nforgiveness, conservation of nature, and the awakening mind from Mohawk,\n Abenaki, Algonquin, Cherokee and Maya Mam Elders. Also present to share\n their wisdom are environmental scientists, astrophysicists, and peoples\n of the Tibetan Buddhist community. As the voices of beings of diverse \nbackgrounds are heard and shared, deep connections are forged in the \nrecognition of our underlying Unity. \n \n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThe Sunray Meditation Society’s community offers prayer that the rights \nof all Indigenous peoples across Earth are immediately restored, and \nthrive forevermore. That all oppressors and perpetrators of harm \nrecognize that, as we are one in this field of life, that ultimately the\n harm is inflicted upon themselves. \n \n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Four Sacred Directions, which support our minds and activities, from the heart of Mother Earth herself, may great currents of power wisdom and peace flow into our hearts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nIt is said that shortly before Shakyamuni Buddha attained Liberation, an\n army of demons appeared to create doubt and fear in his mind. In \nresponse to these illusions, the Buddha touched the Earth with his right\n hand, summoning her as witness to his Awakening. \n \n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Earth vibrated and roared \u201cI bear you the witness.\u201d And the demons immediately vanished into space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we each recall our direct access to this power. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message of indigenous peoples across all nations makes clear that we are Her beloved children and Her fierce protectors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are so grateful for the great wisdom, grace, and beauty you reflect to Her people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
