Challenges
According to my Grandparents, when people have not been loving and kind, the water goes away. When one does not treat Elders and the young well, the water is offended. The water table will drop and the rain clouds will go away. If one is not respectful of the trees, the water will go away. When there’s a drought it means one must reinstate water appreciation and other such ceremonies. (Ven. Dhyani Ywahoo, Learning Cherokee Ways: The Ywahoo Path, p. 55)

“By current calculations, “Day Zero,” the dystopian term for the date by which the city is expected to run out of water, and when all water will be rerouted to emergency pick up points, is June 4. This will mark the first time that a major modern city has run out of municipal water.” The Atlantic: February 15, 2018 Richard Poplak

5. Communities Where Water Has Been Plentiful Are Not Immune
“Cape Town is close to becoming the first major city in the world to run out of water. As the South African city confronts its water crisis, scientists in Canada warn that a similar situation is possible here.” CBC News: ‘It’s not impossible’: Western Canada’s risk of water shortages rising.
