This is a rare opportunity to receive one of the most important practices of the Yangzab Dzogchen treasure teaching cycle. This has only been given in the US once previously at the DDCV by Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche.

The practice of Amitabha is one of the most beneficial practices to do especially in these degenerate times when the causes and conditions for successfully practicing Dharma become more difficult. Through the practice of Amitabha, simply through having faith and devotion in Buddha Amitabha at death one will be born in Buddha Amitabha’s Pureland of Great Bliss, where one will successfully complete all stages of the path until reaching Buddhahood.

HE Garchen Rinpoche’s root Lama Khenpo Munsel said that when he went to the West, teaching on the practice of Buddha Amitabha and his Pureland would be most beneficial. This is because, of all the Pure Lands, Buddha Amitabha’s is the easiest to be reborn in at the time of death. All other Purelands require being at the 8^th Bhumi level of practice to enter. So Buddha Amitabha’s Pureland is very unique and the Yangzab Dharmakaya Amitabha practice very profound yet easy to practice.

As HH Chetsang Rinpoche has said, this is the only pureland you can enter with karmic defilements, all other pure lands you cannot enter until these defilements are purified. So for 99.9 % of practitioners Buddha Amitabha’s Pureland is the most attainable.

After this rare empowerment the transmission will be given for Dharmakaya Amitabha: The secret accomplishment of the Sole Syllable. This authorizes one to engage in the Yangzab Dharmakaya Amitabha practice. This profound practice focuses on the essence seed syllable of Amitabha and is unlike other Amitabha practices, the lineage is strong and the blessings swift and profound.

These teachings will focus on the Mahamudra section of The Words of Vajradhara Dharmakirti (Rigdzin Chödrak).

This text is considered one of the most important commentaries on the Path of Fivefold Mahamudra and is generally given only in Three Year Retreat.

The Mahamudra section in particular contains the quintessence of the pith oral instructions on realizing and abiding in the nature of mind that have come down from the primordial Buddha Vajradhara, the great Indian Mahasiddhas such as Tilopa, Naropa, Saraha, the great Tibetan masters such as Marpa, Milarepa, Gampopa, Phagmodrupa, and Lord Jigten Sumgon.

In this text one is guided through a series of introductions to Mind’s true nature. The Path of Fivefold Mahamudra is a profound system which helps bring about realization through practical and skillful means and in essence contains the complete path to Buddhahood.
