Dear Sunray Friends,
Imagine being on retreat at a place dedicated to peace, where even the trees are happy. Beauty resounds at the Sunray Peace Village. We are a sanctuary based upon the Cherokee Peace Villages and a Buddhist pilgrimage site.
Our fully-equipped campground is open to those on retreat from May to October.
This year, a new camping policy is in effect:
All campers must engage in daily meditation practice together
in the Temple of Adawees.
in the Temple of Adawees.
The Peace Village will be operating as a private retreat centre
instead of a public campground.
To camp at the Peace Village you must be attending a program, be volunteering as Caretaker or on a personal retreat.
Imagine spending a few weeks this summer at the peaceful and inspiring Sunray Peace Village. Spend time with like-minded friends and strengthen your spiritual practice.
There are 34 campsites, 1 cabin and RV sites available. Rates: $25/night for individual or 1 parent and kids 16 and under; $40/night for 2 adults (and kids). Weekly and monthly rates available. An exchange of volunteer work instead of financial compensation can also be considered.
Camping fees for Sunray Ministers, Gadugi Members & Peace Keeper students are waived and instead we ask you to make a heart donation.
To book a camping site this summer or to apply to be a Caretaker or Groundskeeper, go to https://sunray.org/peace-village/visitors/.
Lets work together to make our Sunray Peace Village Retreat Center a vibrant spiritual community this summer!
