A Message For Our Young Ones

Turning to Each Other – We Are One With All Life

We know that the Sunray community and our friends are finding ways of connecting even though we find ourselves at this time in our homes, working at home, and even home-schooling our young ones. We’re learning to see the opportunity that’s presented in even this challenging and concerning moment for us. We have the opportunity to continue to deepen and expand our connections as a global community committed to peace, honoring Mother Earth, and creating positive futures for all living beings. We hope the messages we are sending through this channel will inspire you, and remind each of us we are not alone. We are together no matter the distance that physically separates us.

We welcome your feedback and any inspirations that you’d like to share…you can do so by going here.

Transformation Begins in our Hearts

A message to the community from Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo, March 24, 2020. Venerable Dhyani shares about energizing the potential of our natural health within this moment, recognizing our inter-connectedness with all beings, and the harmonic tones of appreciation and gratefulness.

She encourages us to think of the future we choose. Resist being driven by the energy of fear and recognize the power of contemplation and meditation. Ven. Dhyani invites us to cultivate the vision that we are well and that we have the capacity to transform and transmute illness.

Simple Steps to Take Now to Nurture Your Health

It’s a great time for us to “seize the day” and lovingly care for our bodies, as Ven. Dhyani says in today’s message. Here are a few quick tips for you from community member Molly Lee of Energizing Nutrition:

  • Prioritize daily stress outlets like meditation, movement (walking, yoga, qigong, tai chi, etc). Get outside regularly – the fresh air and natural Vitamin D from the Sun will do wonders for your energy, sense of well-being, and immune system.
  • Eat local or organic fruit and vegetables daily. They are high in antioxidants, naturally anti-inflammatory and great for immunity. Include dark leafy greens for natural cleansing (e.g., kale, collards, spinach, broccoli) and root vegetables for grounding the body like beets, sweet potatoes, squash
  • To kick up your immunity, consider supplementing with natural herbs like organic Echinacea, Ashwagandha or Oregano Oil (in very small amounts). Note: remember to consult your medical practitioner first before including these herbs in your regimen.
  • Stay hydrated with pure water. Take a break from sugary drinks, too many caffeinated beverages, and alcohol which can tax your nervous system and adrenal glands.
  • Get horizontal earlier for good sleeps and adequate rest. This naturally reduces stress and calms your adrenal glands and nervous system.

A Message For Our Young Ones

We are aware that our young people around the world are feeling the disruption of their lives in ways that are causing sadness for them. From being unable to visit family members, play in their community parks or at recreational centers, see their teachers and classmates, visit their friends, and the list goes on as to what makes them feel sadness. Let’s remind them that these things will come again. And no matter how young or old we are, each of us can contribute to creating new ways of being together and inspiring joyful relationships that are life-force enhancing and honor Mother Earth.

We hope your young ones and you will be inspired by this poem, “There was a Cough and then another…” by the Australian Children’s Laureate for 2020-21, Ursula Dubosarsky (thanks to community member and Sunray trustee, Carolanne Oller).

There was a cough and then another
The little cat ran to her mother.

“What can we do?” “Well, wash your paws,”
Her mother said, “And all your claws.

“We’ll stay inside and shut the door.
You’ll laugh and hide and read and draw

“And think of all the games you’ll play!
You’ll sleep and eat and then one day…

“You’ll see the door is open wide –
The sun will shine, you’ll run outside –

“Just look at how I’ve grown!” you’ll say,
“Since all the time I’ve been away!”

So wash your paws and don’t feel blue
The little cat knows what to do

And wait until the morning when
Our big old world is right again.
