You are invited to attend this precious online teaching about the Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva with Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo,
Pema Sangdzin Khandro.
Kṣitigarbha is one of the great Bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. Usually depicted as a monk with a halo around his shaved head, he carries a staff to force open the gates of hell and a wish-fulfilling jewel to light up the darkness. He is the embodiment of the Earth-element based enlightened activity in our world now. He also represents the cultivation and growth of earthly crops, as well as our spiritual and dharma practices.
Sunray was blessed to receive two marble Kṣitigarbha statues that were donated to the Sunray Peace Village by Ven. Lama Konchok Sonam and his community, the Drikung Meditation Center in Arlington, MA USA. Find out more about Sunray Buddhist teachings here.
