We love all of our four-legged friends, but for the safety of others, please keep your fur babies at home.
Workshops:
Nation Regeneration ~ Reciprocity with Land & Culture
2:45-4pm
Together we will explore the concept of regeneration and the great need for it in our current times. Drawing upon permaculture ethics & principles, while honoring its origins in the wisdom of Indigenous agroecology & a culture of sustainability, we will discuss examples of these principles in action and what we can learn. Our aim is to uplift small scale, community-based solutions to meet the challenges of our times, exploring regenerative agriculture, ecosystem restoration, and ultimately cultural regeneration through the re-establishment of relationships.
The Art of Compost Toilets: Dealing with the Shit in our Lives
4:45-6pm
You are familiar with the saying “you are what you eat”, but what about “you are where you shit”? Connection to our waste is fundamental to a healthy life, but most of us prefer to “flush and forget”. Our waste contains not only insight into our own health but also valuable nutrients that plants, soils and our ecosystems need. We spend approximately 182 hours a year in a bathroom, but how does relieving ourselves in sterile environments affect not only our health but our connection to the earth. During this workshop, you will get your hands dirty (not with actual waste!!) and learn how to set up your own composting toilet. We will also touch on how different elements affect your digestion system, and how you can bring more comfort, ease, and whimsy to your daily pooping.
Kelsey McWilliams is the founder of Point of Shift, a circular sanitation consultancy that is focused on bringing beauty, design, and sustainability to bathrooms across the US. Kelsey has designed and implemented toilet systems across the North East and in India.

Cultivate Compassion
7.16.22
12-10pm
Sunray Meditation Society and Peace Village
2202 Downingsville Rd, Lincoln, VT 05443
Sunray Meditation Society is an international organization dedicated to planetary peace and a world of beauty for all our relations. Sunray has been located in Lincoln, Vermont since 1987, where it has been creating a Peace Village for today’s world, modeled after Cherokee Peace Villages of the last century. It is a place where people of all ages, walks of life, clans and nations can experience the healing power of the Earth. Peace Villages are about creating a place of sanctuary; a place of appreciation; and a place of healing; a place of unwrapping from the heart and mind constrained thoughts of separation.
Sunray’s mission is to preserve and share the teachings of the Peacemaker from the Tsalagi (Cherokee) spiritual traditions and the teachings of peacemaking from Tibetan Buddhism. The Sunray practices are appropriate for all people, regardless of one’s own familial background or traditions. They will not cause harm when practiced according to instructions given, because they encourage everyone to embrace their own lineages and to find the similarities that connect us all together.
Sunray is also an accredited non-governmental organization with the United Nations. During 1969, Elders of many bands conferred and decided that some appropriate teachings were now to be shared with all those of good heart, native and non-native, so that our children will have water to drink and a place to walk.
