Greetings Sunray Community.
You are invited to Sunray’s 40th Annual Native American Elders and Youth Gathering, July 26 to 29 2024!
As co-chairs of Sunray’s 40th Annual Native American Elders and Youth Gathering, our vision is to create and magnetize a gathering this year which celebrates and builds upon our vibrant community spirit of 39 incredible years of offering the Native American Elders Gatherings at the Sunray Peace Village.
Community members who have been involved for decades know that there are multiple layers to these gatherings, each of which is unique and beneficial.
Each gathering provides an opportunity for Elders and Youth presenters to meet with one another joyously, and share news and views of what may be coming. Each gathering provides an opportunity for Sunray members to be together, either in person or online, to create and absorb the medicine of community. Being able to camp on the precious Peace Village Land is an important healing opportunity that some of you may not have experienced yet. For Sunray students, friends, family and neighbors, it is an opportunity to absorb the wisdom of the elders and youth, and the meaning and joy of the celebratory markers of each phase of life.
We extend a heartfelt invitation and opportunity to all. Please consider taking part in this joyous occasion by offering to Volunteer in some capacity.
Let us weave this basket honoring the wisdom of our host, esteemed guests, presenters and participants to join our hearts.
You are encouraged to attend in person. Begin planning early for your travels and accommodation.
Even if you will not be present, plan to attend on Zoom.
Whether in person or via Zoom, there are many ways that you can contribute!
Consider your gifts. What role will you take on?

· Friday evening concert coordinator

· Guest accommodations and Travel coordinator
· Kitchen/meals coordinator
· Land trust prep
· Promotion
· Tech team online on Zoom
· Tech team onsite at Peace Village

Other ways to contribute:
- You may also offer air miles for presenters’ travel.
- If you live locally, please consider offering accommodation for guests.
- Support the Elders and Youth Gathering Seed Fund.
