The Tibetan Community of Burlington VT and Sunray Meditation Community joined in prayer, smoke offerings, practices and feast by the Peace Stupa on Saturday June 22, 2024. As an auspicious day of Zamling Chisang Day, which means Universal Prayer and Purification Day, the Tibetans go to the mountain tops to burn incense and prayers flags.
Several monks and the Tibetan community offered prayers after new prayer flags were hung around the Peace Stupa.
After practices and smoke offerings, a Tibetan feast was enjoyed followed by singing Tibetan songs and all learning the Tibetan Circle Dance! Laughter filled the air with the joyful activities!
As Venerable Dhyani stated, “It is wonderful that this event occurs, and we give support and appreciation for the Tibetan communities activities.”
