In 1998, the Temple of the Adawis, Wise Protectors, was erected at the Peace Village. The Temple is the sacred sanctuary for teachings, classes, meditation and services of Sunray Meditation Society. Many Buddhist and Indigenous Teachings have been offered in the Temple.
Reflecting Sunray Meditation Society’s deep commitment to practicing peace, sacred shrines of the major world religions are established to reflect Sunray’s belief that all of life comes from one source. It is a spiritual place, a place of transformation and renewal.
The medicine of being a 13 sided building is in alignment with the sacred geometry of the land and ley lines. Placement of crystals, mantras and prayers within its structure has an energetic resonance. Standing in the quiet of the Temple reveals through sound the layers and layers of ongoing ceremonies, teachings and prayers that have been offered in this sacred space.

January 2026

Winter, a season of stillness and deep listening, continues here at the Peace Village.
Entering the warm, welcoming temple to lead practice each Thursday night during these frigid winter temperatures is exquisite. Gratitude arises instantly when we see the heater is running, and we are inspired to continue to practice for the benefit of all.
That simple warmth—the ability to step inside and continue practice—is something your support directly provides.
We thank you for any support you can offer.
