Celebration of the Ripe Corn New Moon Fire

Dear Friends of Sunray near and far,
You are invited to Sunray Meditation Society and New Moon Fire at the Peace Village on August 24, 2025 at 9:00 AM ET. We start with the Stick Dance to clear the space, then the Fires are lit.
All are Welcome to join by zoom or in person.
On the New Moon in August, we celebrate the Ripe Corn – Ga-lo-ni.
First foods and the roasting ears of corn are ready (depending on the growing season where one resides). A common reference of this moon is the “first roasting of ears” (of corn)…sweet corn-moon. This is a season of wonderful social gatherings, where we join with others to see what each is creating, to celebrate and share.
Venerable Dhyani spoke of “we are one” in an interview in 1989 called Planetary Teachings.
“The individual has the responsibility to perceive oneself in a circle. Everyone in the community has a voice, everyone on the planet has voice that is necessary to the unfoldment of the great dream of peace. We are growing like the salmon, into the light, swimming again to the source of our true nature. It is for us to acknowledge the sacredness of our voice and our gift, and realize that in working cooperation with others and the plant kingdom, that we can make again a whole family of human beings.”
After prayers, practices and offerings, there will be a pot luck feast at the Community Hall.
For those from afar, you may like to select a specific candle that can become your dedicated New Moon Candle. When the Home Fire is lit in the Arbor, connect your heart to that Fire, light your candle on your shrine.
Join with us offering your prayers, dance and meditation practice for the benefit of all beings.
Guided by Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo, we celebrate the traditions of the Green Mountain Ani Yun Wiwa as the gateway through which Ywahoo Lineage teachings are shared.
All are welcome to join us at the Peace Village or by lighting the Fire on your home shrine and joining in the practices on zoom.

The Basic Practices will be offered by the officiating Minister in the Arbor. Please join in by viewing the Fire and participating in your practices throughout transmission interruptions.
