Giving Tuesday is a gift to all of us – donors and receivers
It is an example of what Sunray calls the Cycle of Reciprocity. The relationship between humans and the planet is an example of the Cycle of Reciprocity. We depend upon the earth for our lives – the water we drink, the food we eat, the beauty all around us, and so much more. In appreciation for all of that it is our duty to care for the planet.
This year we ask you to help us raise $50,000 to support four aspects of our mission.
Peacekeeper Teachings
Peacekeeper Teachings offer skills by which students of all ages learn to live in peace with themselves, their families, communities and the world. Over the decades that Sunray has offered these teachings more than 1,000 people have taken the training in 20 countries as diverse as Scotland, Türkiye, Peru, Nepal Costa Rica, Rwanda and Iceland.
United Nations
At the UN Sunray provides leadership of the NGO Committee on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, with a strong focus on support of Indigenous Women. In 1992 Sunray achieved recognition by the UN and became an accredited non-governmental organization (NGO) in association with the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC). Sunray’s activities help advance three of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Annual Elders & Youth Gathering
In July 2026 we will celebrate our 42nd Annual Native American Elders and Youth Gathering. This beloved event brings together Indigenous Elders and Wisdom Keepers, youth, environmental leaders, and scientists to share their understanding and predictions about the well-being of this planet.
Seeds of Good Food and Relationships
Indigenous Wisdom Keepers remind us of the importance of growing our own food communally so that we may all thrive. This summer we will initiate a program of growing food at the Sunray Peace Village while teaching these skills to neighbors and students.

Sunray Meditation Society is an international spiritual organization dedicated to planetary peace. Our mission is to preserve and share the teachings from Ani Yun Wiwa spiritual traditions and from Tibetan Buddhism. The Sunray Peace Village is a sanctuary and place for sacred teachings, ceremony, contemplation and building the skills of community. Funds raised will be used to expand Sunray’s capacity to introduce people to Peacekeeper teachings globally.
