Sunray Mission

The Sunray Meditation Society is an international spiritual organization dedicated to planetary peace. Our mission is to preserve and share the teachings of the Peacemaker from the Tsalagi (Cherokee) spiritual traditions and the teachings of peacemaking from Tibetan Buddhism. The Sunray Peace Village is a sanctuary and place for sacred teachings, ceremony, contemplation and building the skills of peacemaking.

Accomplishing Our Mission

Sunray Meditation Society offers year-round educational and training programs in the areas of programs of service, spiritual development, and skillful methods to practice compassion and right relationship with Earth and all beings. The Tsalagi ceremonial cycle also is observed. Participation is open to people of good heart from all around the world, from all walks of life. In addition, Sunray maintains good relationships with indigenous communities and elders around the world, and provides appropriate spiritual and financial support to them.

For the Benefit of All Living Beings

Sunray programs touch all levels of relationship: individual; family; clan or community; nation; and global. International activities include peace building and transformation of conflict in many regions around the world. Sunray is an accredited non-governmental organization in association with the United Nations‘ Department of Public Information.
